Good Morning Glories
What are you reaching for?
On Sanibel Island in Southwest Florida, these beautiful purple flowers vine out from the dunes onto the beach below. They stretch out from their place of safety into the pathways that lead to the salty water of the Gulf of Mexico.
Reaching out can take you out of your comfort zone. The morning glories risk being trampled by the beach traffic, yet they still grow outward, sending their blossoms out to reach for the sun.
The direction that they are heading in is fraught with dangers and uninhabitable sand and salt water. Even so, they press forward, reaching to fulfill their purpose.
In the process of growth, there are many obstacles and challenges that we all face.
There are dangers that can be seen, and some that are unforeseen.
Even so, the journey along the way is filled with beauty and joy.
